Our Mission

John Paul IIIn the spirit of John Paul the Great, and with the intercession of Our Blessed Mother, Loreto House is a resource for promoting “The Culture of Life”, from the miracle of conception, to the spiritual serenity of a natural death.

The Center primarily serves women who are facing an unplanned pregnancy. Yet in fidelity to Our Catholic Faith, we are affirming the sanctity of life at all stages, especially where the dignity of the human person is threatened. Our goal is to provide sonograms, baby and maternity items, Catholic parenting assistance, and a prayerful presence for families dealing with end of life issues. Keeping in mind the urgent need for this outreach, we are asking for your prayers, and financial support, so that we may continue the work of this Apostolate.

There are many opportunities for people to provide their gifts of time, talent, and treasure. These benefactors and volunteers are affectionately called the “Friends of The Holy Family”. Most importantly we need your prayers. Please pray that this Apostolate is a faithful response to God’s call to assist the most vulnerable in our society.

The incomparable worth of the human personsick woman in bed

Man is called to a fullness of life which far exceeds the dimensions of his earthly existence, because it consists in sharing the very life of God. The loftiness of this supernatural vocation reveals the greatness and the inestimable value of human life even in its temporal phase. Life in time, in fact, is the fundamental condition, the initial stage and an integral part of the entire unified process of human existence.

It is a process which, unexpectedly and undeservedly, is enlightened by the promise and renewed by the gift of divine life, which will reach its full realization in eternity (cf. 1 Jn 3:1-2). At the same time, it is precisely this supernatural calling which highlights the relative character of each individuals earthly life. After all, life on earth is not an “ultimate” but a “penultimate” reality; even so, it remains a sacred reality entrusted to us, to be preserved with a sense of responsibility and brought to perfection in love and in the gift of ourselves to God and to our brothers and sisters.

Capital Punishment

Why we oppose itPrisoner

  1. The sanction of death, when it is not necessary to protect society, violates respect for human life and dignity.
  2. State-sanctioned killing in our names diminishes all of us.
  3. Its application is deeply flawed and can be irreversibly wrong, is prone to errors, and is biased by factors such as race, the quality of legal representation, and where the crime was committed.
  4. We have other ways to punish criminals and protect society.
