A new blog: Gospel of Life
Dear Loreto House Family,
Below you will find the first paragraph of the beautiful Encyclical called Evangelium Vitae. It is the greatest document we have that speaks to the very meaning of life. It is here that Pope John Paul II first coined the phrase “Culture of Life.” As the Liturgy Coordinator at St. Mark Parish, I have been e-mailing our volunteers one “paragraph” a day of the liturgical document “Instruction Redemptionis Sacramentum” that we may all learn together the norms and guidelines that help us celebrate the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in a more meaningful way.
It is the same thought that we at Loreto House had to better serve our friends, benefactors, women served, and volunteers who we all consider our family. We begin with chapter one, such beautiful words of our former Holy Father…”At the dawn of salvation…” Our salvation was planned from before time was even created! We are that important as particular, unique, human beings. He also speaks of the birth of a Child, Our Savior. He stresses here that the One who created us and saved us became a child. Read more »
